Denver Mayor’s LGBTQIA+ Commission

The Denver LGBTQIA+ Commission, operating under the Agency for Human Rights and Community Partnerships, serves as an advisory body to the Mayor of Denver and the city government on matters concerning the LGBTQIA+ community.

Through their collaborative approach, they strive to make a lasting impact on the well-being of families and communities in Colorado.

Are You A Parent Of A LGBTQIA+ Child? As an affiliate of the American Bar Association, the organization focuses on advancing LGBTQIA+ rights, fostering diversity and inclusion within the legal field, and providing support and resources to LGBTQIA+ legal professionals and law students.

The LGBTQIA+ Bar offers various programs and initiatives such as Lavender Law Conference & Career Fair, the largest LGBTQIA+ legal conference in the country, OUTLaw, a directory of LGBTQIA+ legal professionals, and advocacy efforts on LGBTQIA+ legal issues.

We are aware of the profound impact of explicitly queer- friendly and queer-competentsupports and resources. Their mission is to educate, advocate, and provide resources, programs, and support for the LGBTQIA+ community and their allies.

Out Boulder County offers various services and initiatives, such as support groups, social events, and educational workshops, to foster connections within the community and empower LGBTQIA+ individuals.

1. Transgender Center of the Rockies

Holistic mental health support services for members of Colorado's transgender, non-binary, and gender expansive community. Some of these are advocacy organizations that are advancing equity and equality for LGBTQ+ folks in Colorado.

The program aims to provide resources, support, and opportunities for social engagement to LGBTQIA+ individuals aged 50 and older.

In addition to this, they have resources dedicated to LGBTQIA+ Youth – Rainbow Alley.

Denver Element 

Denver ELEMENT is a community-based organization dedicated to empowering and improving the well-being of gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (GBTQ) men in the Denver area.

Their mission is to promote mental health and well-being for the LGBTQIA+ community by offering a safe and inclusive space for healing, growth, and connection.

The organization’s team consists of experienced, queer-identified therapists who specialize in addressing the unique mental health needs and challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals.

We know how important it is to feel welcomed and seen and one of the best ways for us to know we are safe is when we are welcomed with intention. Our aim, however, is to be inclusive and welcoming of all of our queer community, including our intersex, two-spirit, and asexual family members.
