The first week of June marks Orlando Gay Days, which bring together a broad set of over 150,000 fabulous folks for fun and frolicking. The resort features three amazing theme parks: Universal Studios Florida, where guests can step into their favorite movies and TV shows with attractions like The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley; Universal's Islands of Adventure, home to thrilling rides and immersive lands such as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade and Marvel Super Hero Island; and Universal's Volcano Bay, a tropical-themed water park with exciting slides and a relaxing wave pool.
Not far behind, Universal Orlando Resort invites you to step into the stories of your favorite movies, offering exhilarating experiences and unforgettable memories. The adjacent museum, currently under development, will educate visitors about the events of that night, the impact on the community, and the ongoing efforts to promote love, acceptance, and unity.
The comfortable rooms are well stocked with microwaves and mini-fridges. The only catch is it's a little further out of the center – near Florida Mall – but nothing a short taxi ride can’t handle. Dates: 2026 to be announced.
Love Is Universal Nights – Universal Studios also has its own Pride celebrations every year to show solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community.
The city of Daytona is also renowned for motorsports, hosting the annual Daytona 500 at the Daytona International Speedway. The town has a cobblestoned National Historic Landmark District, the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, its own beaches, and a variety of shops, restaurants, and historic sites, making it worthy of a day visit.
The outdoor patio is a great space to relax and catch up in the fresh air, while inside at the bar you'll find the best drinks prices around. Hank’s is also just north of College Park and directly east of Winter Park.

Barcodes
Just north of College Park Main Street, and close to Winter Park, Barcodes is a gay nightclub owned by a local gay couple who has been serving the community since 2009.
Avoid the school holiday season, especially as the theme parks draw in huge crowds during that time, meaning long queues. The evening culminates with a spectacular fireworks display over Lake Eola. While the city doesn't have a specific gay neighbourhood, queer focussed bars and clubs are scattered around, away from the theme parks but just as lively.
It’s located just a few minutes from downtown and has an outdoor heated swimming pool, relaxation areas both inside and outside, a hot tub, whirlpool, dry sauna, a well-equipped gym, multiple dark rooms, and a “man cave.” They also run special events like pup and jock nights.
