St. I highly recommend their breakfast burrito!

  • Allelo – this is an upscale Mediterranean-Aegean restaurant located on Central Avenue.   The price ranges and styles differ greatly. In business since 2007, this upbeat nightclub features DJ-fueled dance parties, live bands, karaoke nights & themed events.

    Quench Lounge, Largo

Quench Lounge is self-described as a “trendy, alternative bar in Central Pinellas”. They also have a very large outdoor patio area which would be nice on a sunny afternoon.

    Gay Events in St. Pete

St. In particular take a look at:

    The Back Room by ZaZoo’d

This is the gay owned and gay shop housed inside the Mari Jean Hotel.

Here, drag shows, gay sing-alongs, leather nights, and all sorts of fun are always on the menu. Ideally, you should choose a few small plates and share, everything we chose was incredible and the dessert of baklava cheesecake was one of the best I’ve had in a long time.

  • Crabby Bills (St. Pete Beach) – right on the beach and with a raised terrace looking out over St.

Pete Beach, this was an ideal spot for lunch.

While not officially a lesbian bar, the Salty Nun definitely leans that way with its lesbian entertainment lineups and queer women ownership. Please inform us if you experience discrimination or homophobia while visiting any destination so we can make updates to our recommendations.

    COCKtail St.

    Pete

    2355 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg

Specializing in “stiff” drinks and “hard” liquor, COCKtail St. Pete, is in the heart of St. Pete’s gayborhood. the “gayborhood.” It’s here you find most of the gay and gay-friendly bars in the city. The plan is to continue this momentum by holding LoveHer Lounge Events bi-monthly, catering to the spectrum of queer female identities.

Their weekly karaoke night is where the singer in you can unleash your inner diva.

    Salty Nun

    2501 Central Avenue

Calling all the ladies! The Wet Spot is where you can enjoy the sun, lay by the pool, go for a swim, have lunch and cocktails, or just enjoy the “scenery” and a beverage delivered by speedo-clad servers.

Planning to continue the party once you get home?

If you make a purchase through them, we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you (for which we are extremely grateful).

Also, while we do our best to highlight LGBTQ-friendly destinations and businesses, info provided is based solely on personal experience and recommendations by community partners.

With its selection of more than 250 different shots, this downtown bar combines the art of mixology with the fun of a night out. You find a mixed crowd of gay men and lesbians all with a single thought in mind – to have a good time. Petersburg, Florida is a rather slow-paced city with a fast-growing LGBTQ+ population. Kind of like Cheers, where everybody knows your name, but there’s a good chance you can meet someone new.

From cool hangouts in the Grand Central District to places by the beach, you can find spots that serve up not just great drinks but also fun times with everything from themed parties to chill music nights.

Visit The Back Door, a small shop in the rear of the property. There was a fairly older mixed crowd on my visit. The support for the LGBTQ+ community was clear through and through no matter where you explored in St. Pete.

Let’s get into Gay St Pete

Where is the Gay Area of St. Pete?

Arguably you could say here, there and everywhere.

However, at its core the main gay area of St.

Pete is considered to be the Grand Central District area along Central Avenue.

This is the where you will find the most popular gay bars, and pride flags flown from the majority of businesses, whether they are LGBTQ+ owned businesses or not – a very welcome sight to see.

    Gay Hotels in St. Pete

With the LGBTQ+ community being such a core part of St.

Pete I would not hesitate about booking any hotel (as long as they had good reviews!).

However, when there is a gay hotel available, that is absolutely going to be my first choice.
