As the name suggests, Second Story Bar is hidden away above a restaurant in the River North area of Chicago.
Perfectly balanced—smooth, just the right amount of tart, and not overly sweet. Super friendly staff create a safe space for everyone to let go and have a great night of dancing, good food, and cocktails.

Roscoe's Tavern, a beloved LGBTQ+ bar in Chicago's Boystown since 1987, offers a vibrant atmosphere complete with a dance floor, pool table, and outdoor spaces.
With no cover on Sundays and tempting drink specials, Roscoe's is a favorite spot for both locals and visitors to unwind and enjoy the inclusive and welcoming vibe. But let’s cut to the highlight: the Blackberry Sidecar.Hands down, this cocktail is the showstopper. While there are a few negative experiences, the overall vibe is welcoming and fun.
It's a friendly neighbourhood bar where people of all identities come together and catch up over pool or a drink in the lovely outdoor spaces. Inside a sketchy looking unmarked entrance, you'll find a perfectly friendly bar serving cheap drinks to a soundtrack of camp dance classics.

If you’re into cocktails that hit with flavor and class, this one alone is worth the visit.April 16 · Johnathan HarrisGreat food!
Mixed crowds gather in the low-lit, rustic-industrial setting complete with two bars and a dance floor.

The North End is a long-running gay sports bar in Boystown that provides a laidback and unpretentious atmosphere. Known for its unforgettable Drag Brunch featuring talented performers like Batty Davis, Roscoe's also hosts themed nights and events like RuPaul's Drag Race viewing parties and Disney Bingo Night.
The small dance floor is packed, and the energy is high. The Closet is a great place to kick back with friends or meet new people, whether you're looking to relax after work, or kick start your night. This bar is dark and divey with an old school charm that has remained untouched by the upscale modernity of the street below. This is a great place for a drink, bite to eat, and conversation until the evening crowd grows.
The Closet attracts a mostly lesbian crowd who pack the small bar and create a super friendly atmosphere, so all identities are welcome for dancing, games, and karaoke.

Progress Bar is a relatively new entry on the Boystown scene, and at the heart of the space is a cloud-like overhead sculpture installation made up of thousands of twinkling lights.
And once the crowd grows, the atmosphere changes, is charged, and fun!
I was told to come visit this place by several of my friends and it didn’t disappoint!
May 14 · Adam Bou HamdanRoscoe's is the quintessential neighborhood bar, which is "turbocharged" deep into weekend evenings. Plenty of space for us to spread out a little bit and the music level in the main area was quiet enough to have a conversation but still a vibe.
