As the longest-running gay ski week in America, Aspen Gay Ski Week combines skiing on Aspen Mountain with unforgettable events, from parties and concerts to comedy shows and fundraising galas, like the one held at the Wheeler Opera House.

These volunteer-guided groups range from green runs to expert.

Après Ski Sessions

January 20 – 25, 2025 | 3 – 6 PM

Refuel, unwind, and socialize at the official festival après. After a short break, the participants then continue on foot through the streets of Whistler Village. I found myself in a group of people aged 20-60, and as a novice skier, I struggled to keep up.

Armed with a new iPhone, I couldn’t wait to capture it all.

The adventure began with a night in Lyon, a city with a historical center nestled between the Rhône and Saône rivers. Immerse yourself in the Canadian ski culture and explore the wonders of Whistler Blackcomb.

    You don’t have to stay at the hotel if you attend the festival, but it’s a good option.

    The festival’s most popular activities are the daily skiing and snowboarding runs, but there are plenty of other things to do as well. From exhilarating runs to charming après-ski spots, Sölden presents a diverse array of attractions.

    If you were to buy tickets to every paid event this year, it would cost around $300.

    Something that has to be purchased separately by all guests who want to hit the slopes is lift tickets up the mountain. Afterwards, there are après sessions that are like relaxed meet and greet-type socials.

    In addition to the above activities, below is a schedule of the main events in 2025.

    Explore the local attractions, indulge in après-ski delights, and embrace the vibrant LGBTQ+ ski culture in this stunning destination. Once you get to the ski hill, there are free guided ski and snowboard groups for all different skill levels that festival-goers can take part in.

    

    There is a free shuttle service from the building to other hosting venues. There are also plenty of non-mountainous events as well.
