In a separate interview with Attitude, Armstrong shared how his wife searched "Billie Joe Armstrong bisexual" and saw photos of him kissing different guys.
Although he came out, the singer said it should not be an issue for their fans.
"The fact that it is an issue is kind of phobic within itself.
Armstrong said that this was something that should be accepted, regardless of other parameters. He said that practice was taboo and was "ingrained" as a bad thing in everyone's mind.
